About Us

Hosts – Alex and Cath

We are excited to share Cocoa Beach with our guests. The cottage was built in 1939, the area is one of the most Biodiverse areas in the Northern Hemisphere. The Surfing and the space launches are all part of an amazing experience on Cocoa Beach. (Most photos by Cath, ask permission to use).

Restaurants

There are over 90 restaurants in Cocoa Beach, Fl. Many are walkable from the Blue Sky Cottage. Some New places like Destination Downton, KOKO, Coa and Dirty Birds have just opened their doors. Cocoa Beach Restaurants | MenuGuide

Bars & Lounges
There are over 60 bars and Lounges in Cocoa Beach, Fl. Many venues provide daily entertainments as well. locations vary with even a few being on the beach such as The Beach Shack, The SandBar Sports Grill, Cocoa Nuts and more located in the Pier.
Arts & Culture
Cocoa Beach has a surfing culture and is famous for its Surfing Santas Event each year at Christmas time. Nearly 10,000 spectators and Surfers dressed as Santa spend the morning in the waves and on the beach. CB also hosts an art festival each year as well as a monthly street festival with entertainment, food trucks and craft tents.

Lets not forget to mention the Space Launches. They bring many visitors out to the beach to see the Falcon 9’s race away from Cape Canaveral or the rockets taking Astronauts to and from the ISS.

Shows & Entertainment
Almost Daily there are venues hosting musical entertainment, as well as scheduled events at Heidi’s jazz Club, or plays at the Surfside Playhouse.

The Fourth of July hosts a Drone Show on the Beach (July 3rd 2026)

Coca Beach has parades, Car shows, Off Shore Boat racing, Surfing Santas and much more.

Rocket launches are also a beach crowd favourite.

Outdoor & Adventure
The Outdoor Adventure list is almost too numerous to tackle here. From surfing beach side to kayaking in the Indian River Lagoon, to walks in the Nature Preserves, Outdoor life here feels endless. Paddle Boarding, kite surfing, bird watching, manatee and dolphin tours, bioluminescence this just brush the tip of things to door in Cocoa Beach and Brevard county. Offshore Fishing, Offshore Racing, The Air Show and the War Birds museum are just a few more things to do in the area.
Day Trips
Day trips are also plentiful from the Cocoa Beach area from Air Boat rides on the St John’s River, to Fishing Charters out at the Port to kayak tours around the Thousand Island. The Casino boat tour out of Port Canaveral, tours of Kennedy Space Center, many amusement parks in Orlando, The Stetson Mansion Tours in Deland, the American Muscle Car museum, the Dinosaur and the Wizard of Oz Museum are only a handful of places to take the day to go visit from Cocoa Beach.
